Bluecrest Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Bluecrest ("Bluecrest", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our web and mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.
1) Who This Policy Covers
This Policy applies to pool service companies using Bluecrest ("Company Users"), their staff (e.g., technicians), and their own customers ("End Customers"). Company Users determine what information about their End Customers is entered into the Services.
2) Information We Collect
- Account Information. Name, email, phone, role (e.g., admin, tech, customer), company details, and authentication identifiers.
- Service & Operations Data. Route assignments, visit dates, chemical readings and dosages, checklist items, service notes, work orders, photos, signatures, and communication preferences.
- Payment & Billing. Billing contact details, invoice records, and payment status. Card data is processed by Stripe; Bluecrest does not store full card numbers.
- Device & Usage. Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited), app telemetry, and cookies or similar technologies for session management and analytics.
- Location Data. Customer addresses, geocoordinates on pool locations (if provided), and technician location when a user enables it within the app.
3) How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services and core features such as routes, logs, and reporting.
- Process invoices and payments through Stripe and Stripe Connect.
- Send operational communications (e.g., account notices), optional broadcasts, and service emails/SMS.
- Protect against fraud, abuse, security incidents, and comply with legal obligations.
- Personalize features and support, and analyze product usage.
4) Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where applicable, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services), compliance with legal obligations, and consent (where required by law).
5) How We Share Information
- Service Providers. Vendors that help us operate the Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, support, SMS/email delivery). These providers access information only to perform services on our behalf.
- Payments. We use Stripe and Stripe Connect to process payments and manage connected accounts. Information you provide to Stripe is governed by Stripe's policies.
- Maps & Geolocation. We may use Google Maps/Places APIs to display locations; your use of those features is subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.
- Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Legal. To comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect rights, property, or safety of Bluecrest, our users, or the public.
6) Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand engagement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function properly without them.
7) Data Retention
We retain information as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Company Users may control retention of some records (e.g., service logs).
8) Security
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9) Your Rights and Choices
- Access, update, or delete certain account information within the app.
- Opt out of non‑essential marketing communications at any time.
- If you are an End Customer, requests related to your service data may be routed to your pool company (the Company User) as the data controller for those records.
- Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (e.g., to object, restrict processing, or portability). Contact us to exercise these rights.
10) Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11) International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information during transfers.
12) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
